Description

Hey, everyone who still recognizes me, I painted something

Today, after few years of using it, I found the "watercolor-tool" in SAI, my whole life has been a lie :iconohmygodplz:

Ok, I still wait for the day premium groups accept my works as "art" .... guys, that's not quite encouraging you know? OTL

This is Noriko, the witch of the north. Obviously she likes cold places and ice. She's evil.

Take a look at ~megatruh's night sky tutorial, it's very useful!

:star:contructive critique pls!:star:

Hi! I'm here on behalf of the group #SelfTaughtArtist, because your art was in the critique folder.

Firstly I want to point out your great use of perspective. It gives your work just that little more of an action feel. It's really hard to draw something from such a weird angle, but you handled it really well, at first glance I can't seem to find any anatomy errors.
Only the clouds look a little off. They seem a solid for some reason, while clouds aren't really. But this could be solved quite easily. I see you made this in paint tool sai, may I suggest using a brush on a lower density and persistence when drawing clouds? It works for me. Kind of x)
Furthermore, your color pallet is really well chosen. Your use of mainly blues and some purple for an accent is great. The use of these colors make the drawing look cold, and really makes the viewer feel as if this truly is the witch of the north.
Finally I would like to mention that I love your character's design (I assume she is your OC?). She looks unique, with nice detailing on her clothing.

So overall, very well done. A great looking character drawn in a very interesting angle, with a great coloring palette.
I hope you found some use in my comment :aww:
